David Doonan, the New TSAR of Greenwich.

Thanks for wasting our tax dollars on a new sidewalk near Gray Ave. The sidewalks in front of our homes are deteriorating to the point of being a serious safety Hazard, Yet you install a new one instead of repairing the old? Pure Brilliance!!!!

With our town so deeply in debt, you have decided to use our money on a needless Project?

Bravo to you, David Doonan, the new TSAR of Greenwich.

Whats with all that malarkey going on with this illegal sidewalk near Gray Ave?

Dear David, I graduated from Greenwich High in 1999 and am currently the Campaign Manager of a NY State Senate Race (SD 51), Don Barber for State Senate (www.barberforsenate.com). While doing some research on the Green Party I came across your name and website. My family still lives in Greenwich and I am pleased to see that we have a progressive Green as our Village Mayor. My candidate is a strong proponent of inter-municipal cooperation and I was glad to see that your platform stresses the need for the Village and Town to work together to share costs. I hope Greenwich is able to continue to move in the right direction. I provide no suggestion at the moment, only an introduction and well wishes. Best, Tarah Rowse

Congratulations! I can't say how excited I was last night when I heard the news. A clean sweep indeed. This village will surely benefit from your intellect. Also, I never thought I'd see a mayor in this village who marched against the war in Washington, well done!

Uncle David,
Good luck with the election tomorrow!!!
You will make a GREAT mayor.
Especially since you seem to be so focused on helping the community.
You have great views and I just know that you'll do great!!
Love ya,
Emilie (your niece) :)

Good Afternoon David, Nice job on the web page and the campaign strategy.

I wanted to share with you something a friend of mine brought up last week and it still bothers me a bit. We need to OPEN up our village at the East end, to attract more business down that way. The old Concrete bridge and RR overpass close that end of town out. We should re-establish the plan and review it's success with NYS DOT before contrustion starts. As much as our village is GREAT and does have its small town feeling we need to grow and attract businesses. The mill along the Battenkill can also be like the Victory Specialty, in Victory Mills, recent story in the Post Star.

thanks again for taking the challenge and good luck!

Hi David!
I just became aware of your candidacy for Greenwich Mayor, and I thought I would drop you a few lines of encouragement. My name is John Shoemaker and my partner, Zaidee Bliss, and I just relocated to this area back in July. We are getting settled and meeting lots of great folks. I am definately interested in supporting any progressive movements in our area. I like your platform and would love to hear about more of your ideas sometime. We live in Easton, and our mailing address is Cambridge, so I don't think I'll be able to vote for the Greenwich Mayor, though that is our school district... rather confusing separations -- perhaps you can work on simplifying that quagmire when you become our next mayor. I see so many great things already in this area and tremendous opportunities to make great improvements/additions. Hopefully we will meet soon. Best of luck in the coming election! John

Chris Cronin
Great Site! I'll use it as a reference for people while I get out the word to go vote for you three. Best of luck, and hopefully this town will see a new direction!

Many small towns in Washington County send their agricultural products away to farmer's markets in other counties, even other states. Models like Guido's Market in Pittsfield should show us that turning a vacant centrally-located space in the village into an indoor co-op/market can re-invigorate the area and give people another reason to come to Greenwich to shop and visit. Good luck with your campaign!

David,

Great website! Even though I am unable to vote in this election, the outcome is vitally important to me. The ever-increasing number of empty storefronts on this Main St. concerns me; we need leaders with vision and the resolve to listen to business owners and others who through their experience and simple longevity as merchants or service providers, have an understanding of what needs to be done to hold on to what we have and build upon our not-so-solid base.

Parking, for me is key, and I'm glad to see that as a concern of yours as well. The same tan Jeep has been parked in front of my store every day this week...all day long! Scream. What can we do to make shop-keepers understand that they are their own worse enemy in regard to this problem?
Blah, blah, blah.

Good luck!
Judy

You will make a great Mayor, David. Godspeed.
